Poor battery life is to be expected when you purchase such a slim phone.
The people that love and swear by Motorola's will love the phone regardless of any obvious shortcomings and the people that hate Motorola in general will always tell you the phone is just not worth it.
You have to decide whether or not you like the look, feel, interface and the amount of features you require. Then it really doesn't matter what the phone costs. You are going to be using the phone everyday you might as well treat yourself and enjoy it.
