If you're not going to use the tv featue then the vx9400 is probably not the phone for you.
The 8600 has some speaker issues and some people reported the flat keypad is difficult to text on.
The Razr does support T9 text messaging which is much better than the LG version of "word" texting, but the battery life is a little suspect.
If you can wait a little while longer Verizon is introducting the Z6tv (you don't have to use the tv function). It has all of the features you are looking for, but it is not a clamshell design.

Even though I am not a big fan of Motorola phones this one seems to give the most bang for the buck.
